first_imgPEORIA, Ill. – In the shortened Bradley Invitational on Sunday, the Drake University women’s golf team finished in seventh place.The tournament was reduced from 54 holes to a 36-hole event after play was suspended on Saturday due to high winds.”We battled high winds all weekend and it made our misses very evident. We need to continue to hone our short games and dial in our ball striking,” Drake head coach Rachael Pruett said. “We’re back in competition soon and look forward to the chance to bounce back after a tough weekend.”The Bulldogs recorded a score of 663 (326-337) and were just a stroke behind sixth place Evansville, while host Bradley won its own event with a score of 614.Sophomore Madison Glennie led the team with a score of 157 (78-79) and finished tied for fifth, recording her seventh top-20 finish of the season. Freshman Grace Dunn recorded a total score of 165 (81-84), while fellow freshman Sophie Hill tallied a 167 (83-84). Freshman Adrianna Elliott and sophomore Brooke Miller each registered a 174 (84-90) to round out the Bulldogs’ effort.The Bulldogs return to the links on April 10 when they travel to Terre Haute, Ind. for the Indiana State Invitational. Print Friendly Versionlast_img read more
