first_img Gervinho Ex-Arsenal winger Gervinho’s move to Al Jazira is off after disputes regarding the player’s wages.The UAE side had agreed a £10m fee with Roma two weeks ago following which negotiations began over personal terms.But a fortnight of discussions has led to no agreement and the transfer has now been scrapped.According to UAE newspaper Sport360, Al Jazira have pulled the plug after being put off by Gervinho’s excessive wage demands.The Ivorian was reportedly offered £85,000-a-week to make the move to the Middle East, a significant pay rise on his current wage.However, that has not been enough to tempt the 28-year-old into signing and he will remain in Serie A for now. 1last_img read more
